Chartsmith v1.2.8 Adds Linking for Excel - Support for Excel 2004 and LinkBack
Reston, Virginia — March 30, 2005 — Blacksmith announced today, the immediate availability of Chartsmith v1.2.8. This release of the popular charting and graphing application for Mac OS X enhances support for Excel and adds support for LinkBack.
Chartsmith v1.2.8 adds support for Excel 2004 and allows users of Excel X and Excel 2004 to automatically update one or all of their charts created from Excel data. This new feature allows users to update a single chart or an entire document of Excel data imports.
Also included in this release of Chartsmith is support for LinkBack, the new technology that brings embedded objects to Mac OS X. Using Chartsmith v1.2.8 and any LinkBack-enabled application, users will be able to embed chart images and later edit them simply by double-clicking on the chart.
